Imagine a society
where you had to share everything.
Where there was no pain.
That sounds like the ultimate utopia,
right?
But what if sharing included sharing your women?
Or lack of emotional pain was due to being abandoned as a baby
and growing up on your own?
Adam and Eve were built to sin, even in a perfect world,
because humans were made with a conscience.
If this sense didn’t exist, then the right wouldn’t exist,
and neither would the wrong.
Take away that conscience and yes,
a painless, sharing society could exist,
but then, humans wouldn’t.
Does the presence of conscience define humanity?
Humans are not defined just by their physical body—
by the lungs that give them breath,
the nerves that give them senses
and blood that gives them life.
I wondered whether these people were happy…
Did they even know happiness?
